Clinical Supervision

I offer affordable individual clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers, professional counselors, and addiction counselors. With over 20 years of clinical supervision experience and more than a decade as a university professor and field liaison at Colorado State University (CSU), I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world practice to my supervisees.

At CSU, I designed and taught core BSW and MSW curricula, including foundational helping skills for first-year clinicians, research methodologies, group and family therapy, and a specialized trauma-informed care course analyzing various system levels through a critical lens. My extensive clinical background spans diverse settings, including hospice, substance use treatment, HIV services, jail-based programs, problem-solving courts, integrative care, and major medical institutions.

My Supervision Philosophy

I utilize the Counselor Development Model alongside a generalist, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes provider wellness. My supervision is therapist-centered and focuses on:

  • Critical Self-Reflection: Fostering non-judgmental insight into your clinical practice and decision-making.

  • Resiliency & Wellness: Prioritizing clinician self-care, work-life balance, and trauma resiliency.

I believe that preventing compassion fatigue is a shared responsibility. My goal is to help you build a sustainable practice while navigating both individual clinical challenges and the organizational cultures in which you work.


Practical Practice Management

While formal business coaching is a separate service, I believe that clinical supervision must prepare you for the real world. For supervisees working independent providers, we will discuss the clinical and personal importance of setting sustainable fees, preventing financial burnout, and navigating basic professional logistics—such as understanding your tax responsibilities and knowing when to consult external professionals like CPAs. My goal is to help you build a clinically sound and operationally viable career.
