Scope of Practice & Ethical Boundaries
To maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, it is important to clarify the distinct boundaries between the services I offer. I provide clinical supervision, private practice coaching, and specialized organizational consulting.
• Clinical Supervision focuses on clinical skill development, case consultation, and professional growth for pre-licensed or credentialed clinicians.
• Practice Coaching & Consultation focuses strictly on business logistics, administrative systems, and operational sustainability for private practice owners.
• Trauma-Informed Wellness Coaching (Organizational) is a specialized service I provide under contract for organizations—such as my current work with problem-solving courts and the parole board—to support staff wellness, reduce secondary traumatic stress, and foster trauma-informed workplace cultures.
• Therapy (if applicable to your current practice) focuses on personal healing and clinical mental health treatment.
Ethical Boundary & Dual Relationship Policy: In accordance with professional licensing boards and ethical codes, I cannot provide more than one type of service to the same individual or organization.
For example:
• If I am your clinical supervisor, I cannot serve as your therapist.
• If I provide trauma-informed wellness coaching for your organization, I cannot provide individual clinical supervision or therapy to the staff members within that program.
These boundaries prevent dual relationships, protect the integrity of our work, and ensure your professional and personal growth remains ethically sound. If you are unsure which service best fits your current needs, I am happy to discuss your goals during an initial consultation to determine the most appropriate professional relationship.
