Joni Handran
I am a passionate empath with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and organizations facing stressful events in the Denver metro area. I received my PhD in Education Leadership, Human Resource Development, with an emphasis in Social Work in 2013 and my Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 2005 from Colorado State University.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed addictions counselor (LAC), who provides counseling, advocacy, clinical supervision, consulting, and various training and wellness coaching services to government and non-profit agencies along the Front Range.
Through Joni Handran LLC, I provide independent pre-licensed and fully licensed clinicians with the complete operational infrastructure—including EHR access, rendering/billing provider services, and streamlined commercial and Medicaid claims processing—to seamlessly run and grow their practices.
I currently provide trauma-informed & healing centered wellness coaching and training services to a variety of organizations including the Empowerment Program, the Colorado Parole Board, and the 18th Judicial District. I taught for 12 years in the School of Social Work at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO providing diverse instruction in clinical social work, trauma-informed care, research, and program evaluation.
